Toto Neorest 700H

Summary

The Toto Neorest 700H is a top-of-the-line Japanese toilet that is the next generation to Toto’s 550H. Toto built this unit to Universal Height, allowing for a more comfortable position across a broader range of users.

The 700H model boasts Toto’s patented Tornado Flush, with high-speed jets under the rim and siphons working together to flush away waste and clean the bowl. This efficient method of cleaning saves time with regards to toilet upkeep and keeps the toilet looking crystal clean at all times.

The integrated bidet system on the 700H comes with a plethora of cleansing functions, including rear, front, oscillating, pulsating water cleanse. The bidet has an adjustable wand that has five different water pressure settings.

From a comfort standpoint, the 700H comes with the luxurious comforts Neorest owners have come to expect. This Toto has five settings for each of heated seating, water temperature, and air temperature. The unit comes equipped with sensors that will trigger the night light, automatic lid opening, and automatic flushing. No toilet paper or fragrance spray required here, as it also comes with an air dryer and deodorizer.

Similar to the 550H, the 700H model also boasts the patented ceramic glaze known as CeFiONtect. This technology ensures a perfectly smooth surface that makes it difficult for waste and bacteria from clinging to the bowl’s surface. CeFiONtect keeps the toilet hygienic, and also provides a beautiful, sparkling finish that lasts through thousands of flushes.

The 700H is also near best in class concerning efficiency and energy saving.  This impressive toilet easily exceeds the EPA’s WaterSense standards, with 40% less water usage compared to a standard toilet. The WaterSense label is earned when water usage is at least 20% better than the 1.6 GPF standard. WaterSense toilets are certified to meet stringent criteria for both performance and efficiency.

The Good

  • Built to Universal Height making the unit more comfortable for a wide range of users
  • Sleek skirted design makes the unit visually-appealing and suitable for any type of bathroom
  • Water-saving feature gives the choice between light flush and full flush, both of which significantly exceed EPA standards for gallons per flush
  • More customization than anyone can ask for; choose the settings that are just right for you

The Bad

  • Par for the course with the Neorest line, the 700H comes with a hefty price tag. This is truly a luxury item that some will find hard to justify, but you get what you pay for.
  • Some users complained that the sensor can be overly-active, opening/closing the seat as long as the user is in the bathroom (brushing teeth/taking a shower).
  • It was reported that the washlet unit seemed to stop functioning for some users after some time.

Bottom line

The Toto Neorest 700H, while pricey, is said by most users to be worth every penny. This toilet provides a thorough and comfortable experience for the user, where visiting your throne becomes something you will look forward to every day. The water-saving feature will also help to save the environment and on your utilities bill. You spend a lot of your life on the toilet, so if you can afford it, don't hesitate!
